“They are but a chapter in our lives. But we are their whole book.”
That quote stuck with me because it’s true.
Dogs don’t measure life in milestones the way we do. To them, we are the constant. The centre of their world. And while we might move through jobs, houses and life stages, they stay by our side, asking for nothing more than time, love, and care.
That’s what led me to start Paw Print. It began with our own dog, Harry. He’s always been an energetic part of our family, but over time, we noticed small things: stiffness, occasional limping, a sensitive stomach. Nothing alarming on its own, but enough to make us wonder if something deeper was going on.
We decided to dig deeper. What we discovered changed how we think about his care. It also opened my eyes to how little most of us really know about our dog’s health and how much better we could do if we only had the right information.
So I created Paw Print to give dog owners a simple, affordable and vet reviewed way to get proactive about their dog’s health. Through a combination of DNA, allergy and intolerance testing, our aim is to give you a clearer picture of what’s going on inside your dog and to help you make informed decisions to support their wellbeing.
Once your dog’s test results come back from our labs, one of our experienced vets reviews the findings and creates a personalised wellness plan tailored specifically to your dog. This includes high level insights into potential genetic risks, food and environmental sensitivities, and practical recommendations you can act on, from diet and exercise to ongoing care.
These wellness plans are designed to empower you with knowledge, not overwhelm you with medical jargon. They are easy to understand, actionable, and focused on what matters most: Helping your dog live a longer, happier, healthier life.
Because they don’t get to choose their care, we do. And if we are their whole book, we owe it to them to write the best story we can.
